In Las Vegas, you're very close to state lines of California/Arizona/Utah.
Great location and can avoid the taxes by having a residence in Nevada.

If you live close to Leitchfield Kentucky, Core Mark has a warehouse there. They will hire with a CDL and no experience.

Finally got an apartment in Reno with truck parking basically across the street. Next need to go to DMV and transfer the CDL to make it official. Chinatown provided some really good advice a year or so ago that has changed my life for the better. We disagree on which Nevada city is best, but the whole state is a sight to behold with great lanes for truck drivers, low taxes, and amazing lifestyle.

Vegas and Reno are ideally situated to the greater San Fran and LA, Around 250 miles (500 mile round trip). This means you can find jobs home daily and off weekends and still get OTR comparable miles at many companies. Having a new baby and all, I too would encourage you to head west, where driving feels more like a vacation than work.

    Roscoe1289 and Chinatown Thank this.

You need to create a thread called " If your looking for work--Ask Chinatown "
I am really surprised the mods havent made you an admin yet for all the support you give.

I second that for what it is worth. Chinatown is the man. Giving and asking for nothing in return in this business makes him a saint in my opinion.

Patron Saint of truck drivers seems fitting. There are 3 million of us. Only half joking, thanks again for what you do.

Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable but it's rare and worth discussing folks who try to help others and ask for nothing in return these days. We need more of that.

@CK73 - how about a rundown on the process for changing your CDL to Nevada.
Was just an eye exam; has that changed?
