I don’t understand how people can get to a point in their life...

    ...and STOP.

It’s like a woman, dolling up, acting all sweet and loving, until you put a ring on her finger. “Got you now!” And they live unhappily ever after. As soon as you reach your goal, you stop.

You see it all the time in the trucking industry. That fat, smelly fool, didn’t fill out the application and show up for orientation smelling like arse. So, what happened? Got You Now! And they never improve. They don’t better their craft.

Don’t you want to be better? I don’t mean to sound arrogant, but I LIKE WHO I AM. But even tho I love me some me, I have yet to see the Ultimate Six. So that must mean that I can improve. People who don’t want to improve themselves have the exact same mentality that these people who give up on hygiene and wiping their arse because they will just have to wipe again tomorrow.

When you have gone as far as you physically can go what do you do?

Help someone else. The mind is going to be able to go much farther than the body.

Had a conversation with a young hand who wants to heavy haul. An older hand kept talking down to him, wouldn’t listen when he was trying to explain his goal. Young Gun finally got up and bid everyone good night. That’s NOT how you instruct a young Man. If he carries himself as a Man, give him the respect of a Man. If you cannot do this, you are not a Man.

    Agreed.
Pissing on another fellas dream because all yours are broken, doesn't make you superior..... There are 2 ways to leave an indelible impression. Be the most solid relay of information you can be.... or be as at @Bear135 said, a big 'ole douche bag.

You want to be remembered for the right reasons or the wrong ones?

    I've had many wrong ones.
And so I have no heros.... But I have prior handlers I respect, despite their imperfections - because they knew their jobs even if they hated their lives.... I just didn't get mixed up in their lives... Compartmentalize.... Don't get dragged into other people's ####.... Just business, sir - just business.
