I typically average 11-12 hours per day, of course there is plenty of wait time involved.

We thought we were done driving so we let our medical cards lapse. In Texas all we had to do was go get our Dot physicals again and pay another $45 to have our cdls reinstated.

    RoadRooster Thanks this.

Your CDL disappears if you don't get a new medical card?

Yeah the first time around we only got a year medical card, which expired January of this year. So in order to keep the CDL we were supposed to go and get another physical and send that in to the DOT office so we could keep our license status.

Since we didn't do that they downgrade your license to a regular Class C license. In Texas you have two yrs to provide another medical card before your downgraded for good and at that point you'd have to take everything all over again
    (Minus truck driving school)

I never sent in my new physical when I got one last October. Doesn't cfi do that for us?

I am not sure, I wasn't with CFI when I let it lapse. Probably a better question for @RoadRooster

If cfi sent you to a clinic and paid, they took care of sending to your state dmv.

    RoadRooster Thanks this.
