You are correct I should have used different wording.

Not in the mood is correct. Thanks for helping me clarify it.

I was at the cashier getting my towels for a shower at a little truckstop in Tye Tx. The cashier ask if I wanted an extra towel, which I did. She got another one but instead of handing it to me, tried to hand it to the nice looking lady that was next in line. The gal didn't say anything, just stepped back and didn't take it. The cashier just held the towel until she stepped back up, and tried to hand it to her again.
I Said lady, I would sure not mind it, but I am pretty sure you will have to hog tie this gal and throw her in the shower with me, if you think she needs to be there. It did get a big blush out of the elderly cashier.

I am an OTR solo female truck driver... when I used to see lady drivers passing by me I used to smile at them... not sure why but most of them didn't look at me... Nowadays I don't bother smiling at them any more.... :biggrin_25512:
I heard that there used to be some kind of brotherhood among male truck drivers ... I think there's still some... but I don't see that among female truck drivers.... maybe I am not looking well enough?
Well... me, I don't hang out at truck stop TV lounge areas, or restaurants... I cook in the truck, take my shower and go back to the truck.... close my curtains, get my privacy....
Don't have the habit of looking at male truck drivers when we pass by each other on the road.... some have exposed themselves to me, masturbating and one even drove side by side holding up a piece of paper to the window with his phone number on it and asking me to call him... I had to escape that perv....
I don't talk on CBs... just listen... even because I have a very strong foreign ascent...
Some guys can be nice and respectful, and real gentlemen...:biggrin_25519: others may treat me no different than as if I were a male... :biggrin_25519: Others may be surprised... even more because I am a very little tiny lady.... :biggrin_2554:
But I get so tired of the same old questions... "How long have you been driving the truck?" And hate when they call me "sir"... :biggrin_1square1:
Sometimes guys at shippers and receivers give me good docks, sometimes pretty bad docks... not sure if they do that because of my gender...
Sometimes guys at shippers and receivers try to ignore me as if I were nobody... and I have to push my way thru everybody... be assertive....
I don't like the attention I catch because of my gender and my size.... but it is what it is....
Trucking is still a pretty male environment.... and so be it...
I have been in places where men would look as if they were angry I were in their "territory"..... doing a man's work... :biggrin_2552:
I am a lady truck driver, not a feminist, not trying to be a man... not trying to get a man, not trying to compete with anybody... I try to be respectful with every other truck driver but gotta be careful... some male truck drivers are so lonely and desperate that they may think that a woman will go to bed with them if she smiles at them... :biggrin_2552:
Or they may think that for a woman to be out there on her own, she must be looking for a man or sex.... :angry3:
One time I was fueling at a truck stop when I heard some guy say on the CB "Name of my company, you are so beautiful, what are you doing here?" I had to laugh... thought it was funny... Never answered the guy... but I am here on the road because I LOVE the ROAD... :Road: :love1:
Didn't grow up in any trucking family, never had any trucking husband, don't love trucks.. just love the road and be on my own... :yes2557:

Excellent post again, ma'am. When my wife used to team with me (my current company doesn't run teams....) I'd be in the berth and she'd be fueling and doing all the necessaries, she had some stories to tell.

One time she yelled TOM so loud, I think 3 guys (probably all named Tom also,) got out of their rigs. Somebody gaggling her at a T/A on the way inside; wasn't well lit. I was up and at'em. Then we started bringing our pit bull, haha!!

    Rocks Thanks this.

@Rocks is one of the tougher drivers on this forum; gender non'specific. And then there's also @laaylor . . . hit her up also, when you get out here. My wife loved it. I taught her how to drive; the school just provided the ppwk, haha!

    Rocks and Dreazz75 Thank this.
