Living like a pioneer is vastly overrated. Give me air conditioning and electricity over 50 year life expectancy any day

Absolutly! Though in my experience, some truckstops are still offering crappers similar to the pioneer days... :p

When I was a kid,We moved to Tn. From Detroit. After the riots, My Grand Parents were there already, taking care of Great grandparents. In 1968, They had only recently gotten electricity. No phone, No plumbing, I thought it was pretty cool, the way they lived. My Grandmother didn’t, she couldn’t wait to get back to all the conveniences she had become accustomed to, all her friends from down there lived in Detroit. I can’t blame her. We stayed with them for a while till my parents rented a place in town. After a yr or so We all moved back to Detroit with great granny in tow. I was just down there yesterday, they’ve come a long way, Now it’s high dollar retirement homes. Having lived through the downfall of Detroit,My experience was different than theirs, and so it goes.

Oh that’s so cute!!! Lol. I could if I had to. Definately wouldn’t want to. I did for a short time as a child. But it was like camping at that age. More importantly, I saw how rough it was and how lucky we have it today. Spoiled rotten

Lol that’s disgusting. But, I did keep something similar on hand, a 5 gal bucket triple lined with heavy duty trash bags and a few lbs of scent lock kitty litter in it. Idea was should I have bubble gut and get gridlocked on the highways for hours due to a wreck or something I wouldn’t crap myself like the Werner trainer. Figured if I had to use it, I’d put the lid on and immediately strap it to the back of the cab till the next dumpster. 5 years otr never used it. Just sat under the bunk but it was their if I needed it

Hey, if a newspaper is good enough to house train a dog, it should be good enough to cab train a trucker.

    Just sayin'.
