I’m company, and I moved into a KW last month. They outfit the equipment pretty nice, 1500 watt inverter, big dorm fridge, Xm radio, APU, And they maintain them good.

I just saw my old truck... the one before I was lease purchasing. It's disgusting how drivers treat crap that doesn't belong to them. When I get into a truck, I expect things to work. The truck I got into a couple of weeks ago - the fridge doesn't work, the sirius needs an antennae (and it's like I'm supposed to pay for it). There's no way I can expect GP to pay $1400 for a new Volvosuck fridge for me. I bought one for my lp truck... what a waste of money. The sirius, I am a little pizzed about. I suppose I'll take care of that on my own. It is a creature comfort afterall.

In the end it is the truck that matters to me. It runs great. It is taken care of at the shop. They have no problems fixing them on the road. I get the money I want, good miles, home when I need/want to be - with no guff. I really couldn't ask for too much more from them, and continue to be realistic.

LP, otoh... I will not be doing that again. And that's all I got to say bout that... for now. ;)

Look at the last line of the entry above yours.

    That should answer your question.

So far as of April I’ve been here 4 years, things slowed down a bit but picking back up. Also they’ve started cracking down on drivers leaving ###### trailers, which is a good move imho. Plus they got something big coming along that looks different from anything I’ve seen in this Industry... it’s cerainly got my interest. However I’m not going to spill the beans on it until I have the details and I give it a try myself.

I hit my 4 year mark in a couple weeks. I had new job I was going to checkout after I got my bonuses. I haven't had any major issues other than new drivers with very little experience starting at more than I make.

This new system sounds interesting. But like you i haven't heard the other side what does the company expect ??
