That means he has to pass that to be a qualified solo driver. LOL which doesnt say a whole lot for his trainer should he not pass. All of my students did

Yes they do pay 50 cpm for 10 yrs expr. But read the print its only for trips of 100 miles or less. the more the miles the less the pay at 10 yrs exp for a trip over 1001 miles it pays 33.45 cpm. :biggrin_25516: What a joke

I just got done with the 35 days with the trainer, he was cool and all awsome person. the orientation part suckt but i got on the truck exactly one week after arriving in burns harbor,..... now the rules have changed, you now have to be out for a min of 60 days with a lease op as part of the phase 1 upgrade, and also getting rid of company solo's meaning you have to lease if you wanna drive solo or go team... i dont think so... im finding a new company. all and all CRE is good company i dont see much wrong with them they pay up, i got good runs.. just dont lease bc you will be making 1 cent per mile when all taxes/truckpayments are taken out..

I think Stevens Transport has a good driving school program. And they pay for it if you stay awhile with them>

i am in phase 2 right now at england and you can make money here with a lease. i have talked to many people , about half make money and half dont. the miles are there if you want them. we get from 3800-5400 every week. my friend is in phase 2 and he is getting more. my trainer now says a SLOW week for him is 3500. AFTER all the expenses you should be able to take home 1000.00 per week. if you dont, you are doing something wrong. cant do it solo for sure, gotta be a team a phase 1 trainer or phase 2 trainer. if you do the math, and dont spend like crazy, you can live well. DO NOT DO REGIONAL,, cuz you wont get the miles, DO NOT DO SOLO, cuz you wont get the miles. i plan on buying my own truck (with bad credit, i already have 2 places ready to finance me) then lease it to enlgand and drive it myself with a student. you still make .90 a mile but there is no .14 vmr and the payment is much much lower.

cr england has a good school. go to the burns harbor indiana school. it is only 2900.00 (where most are 5000.00) and they will reimburse you for it if you are with them 1 year.

Actually CR England charges $2995 for training. If you lease a truck (which I do not recommend), CR England will make all of your tuition payments for as long as you drive for them until the entire amount is paid off. If you become a company driver, they will reimburse you $1000 after working for them for 3 years.

Also, CR England is not eliminating solo company drivers. Only company drivers with 1 year or less driving experience are required to team up with a new inexperienced driver.

yes you are correct, it is 2995.00. stil about 3000.00 less than most places. i am not sure of all of the details and thank you for clarifying the ones that i explained in error. we get a 500.00 sign on bonus if we lease a truck, according to our instructor in class. i didnt know about the 1000.00 you described. but the more the marrier. and yes, they are not "getting rid of" solo company drivers. however they are hoping they go away on their own if that makes any sense. they told us in class not even to sign up for solo company because they are trying to discourage that and are making it very uncomfortable like no miles and such. the lease program is not for everyone. you can make money at it, but if not done right or not getting the miles you can lose a lot as well. what i am doing is saving enough to buy my own truck out right from a dealer. there are dealers out there that will finance bad credit for little down and decent trucks with decent miles. doing this i wont have to pay the .14 cpm for england and my truck payment will be about 1/2 plus at the end i will own it and england wont take my maintenance money for repairs to a lease truck. i have been averaging about 4500 miles in the 70 days that i have been here. i am on my 3rd trainer now. (my first one got fired in case you were wondering why i am on my 3rd). my friend is also in phase 2 and is averaging about 4700 miles per week. so i think the miles are there, at lease with england. you might not get much home time though, so dont plan on it. the only way to make the money is to forget about home and stay out here. or minimal home as possible. let me know if you have any more info or if you can improve my info. thanks for correcting me and hope you are doing well too.

Well, they were out in force today. I was parked at the Flying Hook in Lake Pointe this morning and four student driver trucks came pulling into the lot. They were practicing backing and going in circles. Then one of them followed me down to my pickup at Bishop's storehouse.
