Seen a couple of trucks running 20 ft as doubles in GA/FL, similar to a fedex style setup but with normal tandem axle port chassis and a dolly.

Whats the legality of that? we are talking 8 axles.

They can pretty much go anywhere with anything that will fit inside each pup. Provided there is no prohibition against doubles etc.

There is nothing much to worry about legally. Now if you can get twice the pay pulling two trucks.. /tease

Ok, so whats the weight rating then on 8 axles? or 9 axles if you run two tri axles and no dolly.

The only combination that allows two triaxles with no dolly is a Michigan B train.

It is better to put up a picture of the exact truck we are dealing with here. There is a range of possibilities with the Weight formula.

This one is a b-train style, the ones Ive seen in FL/GA are fedex style with a dolly/convertor. No way to run a b train outside of Michigan/Canada obviously?

I used to receive 20's filled with Styrene Pellets in a huge bag. A Canadian carrier brought them to NJ from Halifax and half of the chassis were the extendable tri-axle 'B' train. The all came in single but the empties went back doubled

B- trains are legal in several states, maybe all states that allow doubles, at least RM doubles.
B-trains are even legal here on some roads that doubles aren't.

That's right starmac. Pulled 38 ft. B trains in pnw, chips, flats, cans. Handle good, loads well and can back them up.
