We need to throw idiots like this in jail, I dont care if you KNOW that car has been parked there for a week, you move over and slow down for anything parked on the shoulder.

Tragic as it is, what is it about troopers that can't seem to get it, the shoulder, or ANY place on the traveled portion of a highway, is a bad place to be stopped. Are they that focused on the "scene" to not think about some doofus not paying attention? How many more troopers will die this way? I'd like to hear from Trooper to Trucker on this.

Try the troopers in OK on 2 lanes, they use the spot lights to blind the occupants in the vehicle they have stopped, trouble is it blinds any and all oncoming traffic too.

Still a very bad situation, and I always try to move over for any vehicle or object, I have to assume the trooper had lights flashing, why would anyone not move over in that case, unless drunk or asleep.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

In this case, TWO troopers were parked on the right shoulder, working the center median.

Now there isn’t much info on the crash. But on a Interstate if a vehicle is not able able to be moved either because of a injury or because it has to be removed. You generally don’t see bump ups on the Interstate. I am certain a 12 year veteran made the right call.
