Well that’s just craptastic. I was thinking about having it done, but I already can’t see diddly at night, so I’d probably be dang near blind at night if I did.

Just got a shower here at the Love's in Salisbury, NC. Came out and my truck was gone.

I have never experienced such a OMG HOLY **** moment in my life.

Then I remembered I was hauling a Boar's Head trailer, not an Abilene trailer, and my truck was right where I left it. It just had a big picture of a sandwich on the back instead of the Abilene logo.

I had a laser cataract surgery in 2016, both eyes. My night vision is perfect! I had one of the best surgeons in the States, probably in the world, he's practicing in Las Vegas NV. I decided for mono focal lenses as multi focal lenses give problems with night vision, especially with glare. Was at home for a week each time for the surgeries, then back on the road. The only problems I have sometimes is dry eyes, especially with AC running in the truck.

Yeah, my ex had her surgery like 15 years ago. Didn't know if maybe they'd made some improvements to the technology or the process since then.

My mother had cataract surgery as well. Back in 2000 something. She has mono lenses as well. She hates having to wear reading glasses, though! I’m guessing that it is totally different than regular lasik surgery? No clue on the “how” on either. I don’t know if I could handle something coming at my eyeballs!!!

They made big improvements since that time!

Had the same problem, if anybody comes near my eyeball I panic! But it was the only chance, had very fast developing cataracts, the doc said 2-3 more months and I would be blind.
The surgery was pretty easy (for the surgeon), the cataracts were destroyed by the laser, then the laser cuts the eyeball to get the lens in. Doesn't take too long, but you have to keep your eye open and not to move your eyeball. That was my biggest fear, but it worked, you have absolutely no pain, you don't feel much.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post the doctors website here, if anybody needs info I can send a PM.

Edit: The only downside, the health insurance doesn't cover the laser, was $2000 per eye extra. But it's absolutely worth it!

    Reduced night vision...
    and commercial driving...
That would be a bad combo!!!
