Well that’s just craptastic. I was thinking about having it done, but I already can’t see diddly at night, so I’d probably be dang near blind at night if I did.

Just got a shower here at the Love's in Salisbury, NC. Came out and my truck was gone.
I have never experienced such a OMG HOLY **** moment in my life.
Then I remembered I was hauling a Boar's Head trailer, not an Abilene trailer, and my truck was right where I left it. It just had a big picture of a sandwich on the back instead of the Abilene logo.

Yeah, my ex had her surgery like 15 years ago. Didn't know if maybe they'd made some improvements to the technology or the process since then.
Silverdriver, MidWest_MacDaddy and The Kraut Thank this. -
My mother had cataract surgery as well. Back in 2000 something. She has mono lenses as well. She hates having to wear reading glasses, though! I’m guessing that it is totally different than regular lasik surgery? No clue on the “how” on either. I don’t know if I could handle something coming at my eyeballs!!!
The Kraut Thanks this. -
The surgery was pretty easy (for the surgeon), the cataracts were destroyed by the laser, then the laser cuts the eyeball to get the lens in. Doesn't take too long, but you have to keep your eye open and not to move your eyeball. That was my biggest fear, but it worked, you have absolutely no pain, you don't feel much.
Not sure if I'm allowed to post the doctors website here, if anybody needs info I can send a PM.
Edit: The only downside, the health insurance doesn't cover the laser, was $2000 per eye extra. But it's absolutely worth it!Silverdriver and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
and commercial driving...
That would be a bad combo!!!Silverdriver Thanks this.
