Loaded up yesterday load that lined up perfectly within my trailer width except 3 beams 2x2" were sticking out 7" on the pass side . I decided to take a risk and drive w/o permit . The violation will be recorded but according to the report it shows no oos. That's the chance we take when we try to take the short cuts.

You handed that one to them. 7" of overhang on the scale side of the load is pretty hard to ignore.

Won’t be an insurance spike. You got a huge break. He didn’t place you out of service on the inspection so no safety point violations. Be happy and order the dam permit

If you are going to bootleg don’t come on here asking what it’s going to do for your safety scores. You can’t be a concerned outlaw. If you ain’t got the guts to be outlaw do the job right.
