Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

But its basically the same cab. At least as far as dimensions go. A 379 has no more let room than a 359. At least not a noticeable amount

Sorry, but what has this to do with a proper seating position? Or is it that US trucks are build in such a way, like @MartinFromBC seems to suggest, that a short person has to sit high, because otherwise he can't look over the hood?

Listening to Caesar talk about trucks is like trying to learn about having sex from a Nun.

    Thanks for the explanation Bruce.
The way it seemed that he needed his seat as high as it can be to see over the hood, made me guess he was very short.
I drop my seat down to about halfway in most trucks, and way back, then my long legs can stretch out somewhat.

It has everything to do with it actually.
When you have 20 years experience, you will probably see almost everything about trucking a LOT differently than you do now.
I have over 30 years of experience driving Class 8 trucks, and have hauled #### near everything, a car carrier is about the only exception. So it would be like me telling a car carrier driver what he is doing incorrectly. How would I know if he is doing it wrong, I know zero about it.

You could Google car hauling and then tell everybody else how they should do it.

You still haven't answered a very simple question. Where did I say that a short person has to sit high, as you wrote. And why do you think that a short person should sit high, (and a tall person low??).
