I am 32 and looking forward to switching my career and was thinking about getting an AZ license. But the more I am researching about the AZ license drivers pay I am getting confused.
    1. Do truck drivers earn as advertised like 6000-7000$ pm
2 Does only driving Long haul brings money to the pocket
Would be very helpful if some can shed some light into it

    1. A few do... not many.

    2. No, but those jobs are far afew between.

Read the other thread about becoming a trucker, should answer most of your questions.

It obviously depends on where you work, but I imagine that you can do basic math.
So if you were to say get a job making $30/hr, work 12 hours per day, that is $360 per day. So if you worked 20 days in a month that is $7,200 /month. So just do the math when job hunting. OTR is likely per km since you asked this in the Canadian forum. But for more local type of work it is probably going to be hourly.

In my own opinion.. to answer your first question.
There are three types of Drivers.
1, under achievers..lazy won’t make much at all. Content with what ever job they land.
    2, Average Drivers..will gross around 1.5 weekly..
    3. Over achievers.. Always looking to do better and will not settle for average.

Lol, I’m a solid #2 with an occasional short lived burst of #3

I think I am the same, solid number 2, my occasional bursts into number three are getting farther between. :)

For me when I was a W-2 company driver I ended up with about $1,050.xx net on average. I also ended up with a decent refund at tax time.. Everyone's tax liability is different though and the reason I stated gross earnings..

This is spot on, it all comes down to the company and attitude. IE you will never do that well at most mega carriers (I come from Bison) regardless of attitude and worth eithic. However take a #2/#3 work ethic to a good company; and the sky is the limit.

Example, I could never make more than $800wk net at Bison, no matter how hard I ran or worked or took initiative. I did $1200 net once, and they punished me severely for it.

Came to my current company and $13-1500net wasn’t hard at all, I just did my usual thing, with less stress and it all feel into place. This is why I decided to go O/O here, cause I knew what was possible, with no software or management talent getting in the way.
