My gf is exploring new job options for herself and there's one that's peaked her interest in south central MI. Not sure of the exact town but she said it's like 45-50mins W of Detroit...
Although, Im not exactly down with the idea of up ending my job/life and making the move with her, should it get to that point, but I dont want to do at least a little bit of homework and see what could be available...
Can anyone give any companies in and around the south/central Michigan area for bucket work that I could look up. Only interested in home daily gigs. Did a little looking around on CL but didnt see much trailer work, more class B stuff/paving jobs.
I've got just shy of 10 yrs as a licensed driver, but running them 15yrs on the farm. No background issues, clean MVR..
Ran framed tandem, spread axle frame less, frame tandem w/a single lift, tandem w/a double lift and fixed quad axle grossing up to 117000lbs. Stone,sand,grains/feed, salt, mulch, lime, glass.
I think thats everything.... Thanks for any info...

There's better options if you and gf willing to team.
Trimac Transportation has team runs where each driver of the team make over $100K per year.

Here's a solo position, but team positions are available with this company.

That is @Ridgeline stomping grounds. Maybe he will have a few suggestions.
All summer long there are literally 100's of gravel trains hiring. It would be the winter that you might have issues, but even then there is always someone....

How far south in Michigan? South of I94? I don’t know any job prospects but I drive through there often(from Illinois) and see a lot of both local train style dumps and frameless dumps too, lots of hopper bottom activity too similar to Illinois, seems like pretty terrain around michiana
