TO the SWIFT driver stopped by Colo. State Patrol for speeding down Lookout Mtn. today, yes, you really were doing 73 in a 45, which puts you 28 mph over the posted limit. That you were not arrested and your truck impounded is because the officer was feeling generous. I really do hope you are fired and loose your license.

73 in any speed zone is pretty much instant termination at Swift.

That seems to be a common theme though, guys speeding down mountains. What is the hurry?? I was always under the impression that is the one place u do not speed. I had traffic backed up behind me on cabbage last week. Its down to one lane with construction i was doing my usual 35mph working the engine break between low and high . i was at 80k pounds and there had to be 6 trucks right on my tail the whole time? What is the hurry? I dont get it sometimes

Really awful idea to pick Colorado of all places to drive 73 down a mountain after what happened a couple months ago ‍

I went down Monteagle this week and it was the same thing. I’m jakin down at 35sh mph with 25 ton in my hopper and I about got ran the hell over. I know a lot of people think “oh Monteagle’s nothin” and compared to out west perhaps, but even so, if poop hit the fan around a corner I would be able to stop, I’m not so sure the others would. And I get you can get away with a lot more if you’re empty, but I saw seals on them there doors!!

You forgot to tell them "leave earlier so you don't have to tailgate me & tailgating me is not going to get you there any faster. :D:D

That means you were speeding too... that's an 18 mph limit on cabbage for 80k lol. I've had someone bark at me over the cb on cabbage for going 35 and holding them up. People are dumb.
