Well, I don’t get the privilege of a settlement this week, unlike you Van drivers.

Instead I get to maintain high dollar platform equipment.

Bean Jr. and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

    Hey Dave!

Will have my truck active with LS Ranger in about 10 days. Are you getting a separate statement from Comdata for your fuel purchases, and will show discounted fuel price paid? Also, is your physical damage premiums shown on your settlements posted a weekly or monthly deduction? Thank you!

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Well yea there are a couple trips already completed for next weeks settlement, but you can't really count those can you?

If a load gets delivered, and no one hears it delivered, was it really delivered?

Bean Jr. and blairandgretchen Thank this.

Yes you get a card activity statement that shows your fuel purchases to the penny after discount. PD is monthly, first week. BT is weekly.

Sign up for electronic IFTA. I think it's $2 year. It's really expensive yea. It's to the mile. All automatic.

Yeah, I see the BT weekly rates in the BCO handbook. It didn’t show for PD, likely since it would depend on the truck value/deductible/etc. I expect to take delivery of the 2015 Cascadia I am purchasing either tomorrow or Monday. I will be taking insurance (BT, PD, CPP) through LS. The question I have is whether Gallagher will offer BT & PD insurance to purchase from the time I take delivery of the tractor to when I activate it with LS a week later or will I need to just get a temp BT & PD plan to bridge this gap in time?

I agree with you on using the electronic IFTA.

    Thank you Dave!

You will have to purchase a temp policy. It's ( wait for it ) $500. You need it for like 2 or 3 days. After you get your LS inspection, Gallagher will bind coverage. Yes PD is based on value. And considering the scope of what we do, is very reasonable.

    blairandgretchen and TomOfTx Thank this.

This isn't true at all. They are required to pay exactly what their contact with the contractor says they are required to pay.
