I will give this guy one thing, he is consist. Consistently dumb if you ask me. Yes that middle bundle is 6” from having a strap.

Fishing straps through is time consuming. If it was going a short distance where you are trying to get unloaded before cut off time i would be tempted to cut corners also.
Truth is you could toss one strap over the front and another over the rear and that load isn't moving no matter how far you are going. Fishing straps through is just to add some down force on the inside bundles in case some idiot cutss you off and you got to brake hard.

That’s a joke right? There is literally nothing securing the inside bundles. Just gravity.

cke, jamespmack and JonJon78 Thank this.

Right. Just gravity and friction. Dont slam on the brakes and they aren't going anywhere.

    cke and jamespmack Thank this.

And when you do slam on the brakes the load ends up on top of you. Kind of defeats the purpose of putting any securement on any load.

cke, jamespmack and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

    Don't slam on the brakes?

I'm not saying its right. But if its the difference between getting unloaded today or having to sit till morning? Well its awfully tempting.

It’s not tempting at all. How much time extra will it take to have the bundles loaded together with no gaps instead of the way it is in that picture? 1 minute?

How much time will you lose if a car cuts in front of you and you have to slam on the brakes? A man with morals and pride in his job will go further and make more money in the long term than a man who cheats and cuts corners sacrificing safety for the all mighty dollar.
