I think he's either been drinking all day or using narcotics... Every thread on this site he does the same, responds to threads with nothing remotely relevant to the topic being discussed and rambles on several paragraphs.

And if it's relevant to the topic, the information he responds with is almost always wrong.

So to be a little more precise I’m near the point where I am even with “trade in value” and “balance” I just want to trade it in so they can pay it off, or in the case I’m upside upside down on LTV I want to know if they can just put the remaining loan balance on new tractor loan just like a regular dealership.

Why would a truck dealer take a half ton truck on a trade in? They aren't in the passenger vehicle business.

Anything of value. I have seen it at a truck dealership I worked at. You see cars getting traded at bike dealers, bikes getting traded at car dealers. Are you gonna get top dollar..no. Will every truck dealership take a pickup in trade.... probably not. Will most truck dealerships take it to make a deal.....yes.

Hey thanks a lot for being considerate and replying to my post first of all. Yes I know exactly how dealers work, you have to count everything in. I know at the end of the day you get screwed when trading in a vehicle. You always get like 75% of the vehicles value give or take. I know how to not get screwed so badly with these people. I really just wanted to know if it was possible or not. Then again I could just call
Why wouldn’t they, what do you think new car dealers do when you trade in a vehicle, half the time they send it to the auction, it’s done in order to sell you a vehicle that’s where the business for them is at.

Well then if you think “why not”, forget about asking here and go to the dealer. Simple as that.

    Sell it privately.
But yes they will to answer your question.
Probably give you 30% of its actual value is all.

tht would be difficult to sell privately. Nobody wants to purchase a vehicle private party where there is money owed on the vehicle and no title on hand. That whole process takes a couple weeks. No private buyer wants to deal with that unless the truck is some sort of must have. Best option is to trade it in at a dealer becuase private sale is not gonna happen with money owed on it and bank has title.
