They had that one highway closed for awhile with no warning awhile back. Tennessee. Can't remember town. Wasn't much of a highway. It made CDL life and some others, because it was the only truck route through for 15 or 20 miles once you got there.

The only reason I didn't get cited, was because a Werner truck was already trapped between two buildings with two city PD all over him, and the third one ( I think only 3 in Podunk town ) already had another big truck on the non truck route path, which I took.

I would have gone the exact same way Werner did.

It was on several of those magazines cites. Total sham.

its disgusting this is allow to go on for years before these corrupt individuals get caught, then when they do get caught its literally a slap on the wrist for all of the grief they have caused people.

The law has been changed recently because one Tennessee politician also owns a trucking company. Those small town wannabe cops were harassing his trucks and admitted they were doing it for the revenue because the small towns get a cut of the ticket money.
The politician got a bill passed that all revenue goes to the state only and no towns or counties get any of the money. Now they're complaining they're having budget shortfalls due to lost revenue.

Remember that weigh station in “Robb County” Georgia right north of Atlanta? Full blown weigh station writing tickets left and right with ZERO DOT certifications. A driver that knew the regs busted them in the arse.

Back in the 80s, I was doing food service, running the southeast, I would have a delivery in Selma AL. Took the backroads off i65. There was 1 sign that said Reduce Speed Ahead and the speed limit would drop from 45 to 15mph. There was almost always a cop sitting right under the 15 mph sign.

Well, today’s smartphones and dash cams have really changed the game from what it was 20-30 years ago. But now, it seems the problem is so many are mentally enslaved to their phone. Straight up mind control.

A friend of mine got put OOS in south Texas for having 2 different brake chambers on his front axle. The chambers were the same size, 2 different makes.

    Well that's ****** offensive.

They are there for a reason, if this industry didn't have so many lazy and incompetent drivers, there would be less of them.

Tennessee had that scam going also. School zones; 15 mph. No times on the signs. Speed limit dropped from about 45 or 50 to 15 with no warning. We had drivers really getting hurt over that on their license. They were getting tickets for speeding through school zones at 2am on Saturday mornings, because no times were on the signs. Cops writing tickets during the summer months when schools were closed also.
I can't understand where those towns can find anyone so dirty and corrupt to write tickets like that.

Texas had some really corrupt ones on Hwy. 59. One of our drivers got over $500 dollars worth of tickets on a brand new truck. The DOT officer wrote all the tickets for oil leaks, saying, "This looks like it's going to leak any time now." The driver was a former owner-operator and said, "What the (blank) do you mean, it looks like it might leak at any time now?" The Texas DOT cop was surprised he stood up to him, so he changed a few of the tickets to warning, but most he let stand and the company had to pay them.
