You'd think so, but since no times were on the signs, that was the loophole to write tickets.
this is not a BS story, it really happened a lot in Tennessee.

that kind of behavior is what earns them certain nicknames.... truckers are hated, i bet cops arent too far behind. they do it to themselves.

my dislike for cops started when i was 18-19 years old. i worked 2nd shift at a food manufacturing plant at the time. i would come home every-time about the same time every night. the same cop would pull me over, he probably pulled me over a dozen or more times, never once could find anything on me. no drugs, not drinking, vehicle registered and inspected, not speeding, ect ect. always the same answer.... im coming home from work. this cop pulled me over so many times he asked me, dont you have a different car? i owned two cars and that he pulled me over so many times shows he was abusing his power. the one instance one cop was interrogating my at the time girlfriend (for the last 15 years years and still my wife) while the other had me step out of my vehicle and had me pull my pockets inside out. they looked in the back of my vehicle with a flash light....... if i had an attitude it might have had something to do with being pulled over for the 12th time and for no reason. NO ticket was ever issued for the dozen times i was pulled over by the same cop. one day that cop just disappeared, i think someone else turned him in for abuse.

i have always driven older cars and still to this day find myself being followed and profiled. it's my personal choice if i dont wish to spend 10's of thousands on what i regard as nothing more then basic transportation to and from work. profiling an older vehicle makes assumptions and profiling is wrong.

im sure there are some good cops, you might have been one of them...... but there way too many bad and corrupt cops. i call them revenue agents, perhaps that is a result of the system and not the cops themselves. the system in ny state is particularity bad. cops around here will do whatever it takes to take money from people.

i try not to get in trouble. i do not have a criminal record. still i try to avoid cops because anytime i ever have cross paths it costs me money. i work very hard for what i have, i really hate when some entity takes money that was earned with my blood sweat and tears away from me.

i worked 59 consecutive days, finally took a day off today. while other people were barbecuing going in the pool and having a good time this weekend, i worked. 17 hours saturday, 12 hours on sunday.

i am not on a log, local driver stay within the radius. do you really think i wanted the DOT to find something they could fine either me or the company. i work too hard to give money away.

cops are to be avoided. simple

Very few abuse their power, very few.

AND yes they are there to find problems but many drivers (as I posted about one of mine) have chips on their shoulders and don't get that if the driver did their job, then the officer doesn't have to be there.

We live in a world where it is everyone else's fault and many driver cry, pitch a ****** and act like children when they get dinged for things that should be fixed in the first place before any one else can find it. Hell there are a lot of threads on this site that claim that they ... the driver ... didn't do a thing wrong but blame the company or the owner or some mechanic for a problem they needed to be aware of by an inspection. We even have drivers who never do pre/post trip inspections, they are too lazy to take 15 minutes out and check their truck out.

Just look at the blitz numbers, no excuse for some of these violations, none at all.
