And if doing multiple loads it is easy to talk to the loader and have him load tight or with 2X4 spacers so that you can wrap the load.

Wow Spyder... I thought you were a lot better than that... 1 hour fishing straps? GTFO... it would add a couple extra minutes providing you have a pole of some sort like most carry... Cmon man... You wearing flip flops out here too?

6 straps for length. Fished under over and back under. You aren't doing that with a pole in just a few minutes. You are getting up on the deck. Off the shippers property of course cause they won't allow you on the deck without fall protection.

if they are unloading with chains instead of straps you need 4x4s or 2 2x4s nailed together. And i would almost guarantee the places that will ship them like in the picture are the same places that won't let you on the deck to place them, even if you knew ahead of time to stop at home depot and buy a bunch of 2x4s to cut up and nail together.

Guys I'm not saying its ideal or even right. But everyone of us has cut corners at one time or another when the circumstances are right for it.

I would’ve demanded that. I don’t want anything having any room to move.

I hate that even in my liftgate trailer.

speak for urself , i have never cut a corner in flatbed securement. but i also dont run local drops so i could see the need for it if ur saying its the difference between getting 4 loads done vs 2 and ur getting paid by the load i could see it. but really i am not leaving the property if those crackhead load me like that. why make our job harder with securment when u can tell the idiots to load it correctly or it comes off my truck

First I would ask them to remove that, if that is what the loader is capable of. It wouldn't be the first time I told them to get it of my trailer and left. Second why not lay out two, or three straps before for the loading starts. 4x4 hardwood between piles. Then toss the ends of straps eachway. Add your over the tops and go. I do not see the needed extra time. Its not over 1 stack high so I see no need for fishing straps.

Back around march i saw a load exactly like this punched thru the cab on the exit ramp to the WB candler scale. Was probably looking so hard at the bears he beat that he didnt pay attention to merging back into traffic.

    They noticed him after that.

If you want to, you can always find some reason to point out, what in your opinion is not correct.
Claiming “ I wouldn’t do it that way” or whatever.
Bottom line is not your load, not your rodeo.

Now if you so desire and think your the professional you claim, post up pictures of your loads. Let’s see your skills. Maybe people can learn from what they see.
