    It doesn’t have to be your grandpa, but let’s share some things that old timers said that have stuck with us over the years. Maybe we can help out some newer guys.

    Here are two things my grandpa told me when I was first starting out back in 1997.

    ** Always respect the mountains. This one is pretty self explanatory.

    ** Never nap over the wheel or leaning back in the driver’s seat.

    Up and over and down the gear that got you up and over.

    Bossman is *&^%$. (or insert favorite character...)

    Time for my constitutional. Or Time for my nap. (And no little ones Constitutional was old style code word for a shot or two of something spirits or strong drink)

    You young drivers are always late, look at Gramps over there he has a perfect delivery. Wots matta wid youse?

    A couple more but Im afraid it's beyond PC or NSFW.

    After having a hard day and feed up I was told to take 2 Tylenol a couple tums and get a good full night rest and then decide what your gonna do ( was thinking about quiting a job )

    If you are even thinking about quitting, then you already know the answer is, yes.
    Nobody who loves what they are doing contemplates quitting.
    And we work too much to not be happy with our jobs.
    Its like your bed, if its old and worn out, gives you a sore back, you throw the mattress away and buy a new one.
