Does Anyone Have a Guess on MPG for a 3406E Thats Been Treated with Micro Blue

You can do 6.5 pretty easily with a kitty if you drive it right.

I’m getting 7+ all day long “without” the micro blue on 3406E.
Btw, when did you get your truck ? Not to long ago(recently) you didn’t have a CDL. Some of us on here remember the individuals that stand out, your one of them. So your going have to adjust to sarcasm kid, specially with your previous post on how you done it all without driving.

 

I had that set up only difference was a 13 speed in a 1997 fld no micr blue . I drove conservatively to get the best mpg. I ran from Pittsburgh to fort Lauderdale fl weekly. I was in the 6.5 area. When I say conservatively I mean 62-64 mph(yup) once in awhile to pass someone. The thing is to me cat was never designed for mpg to compete with Detroit & Cummins for mpg. On top of that their parts are more expensive. If we are looking at dollars in our pocket in the long end Cat will always come up short. I have a Detroit 12.7 I'm in 8 mpg(KW T600) it had 1.3 million on it before the rebuild. No offense to Cat owners but for me I wouldn't own one again. I just spoke to a guy running a 2019 Volvo 860 coming from denver co to Harrisburg pa. running 70-75 35k avg 7.5 he said. For the last haul for me I'm going to customize my W900 & under the hood would be nothing but the green monster. I nicknamed the Cat the yellow Lemon sucker. All the best to you.
