Can a set back front axle conventional truck be turned into a cabover?
I am thinking very labor intensive.

Can't see why not. The frame itself would probably require some drilling and component relocation in regards to brackets and braces. Be great if you could find a complete cab to start with.
MartinFromBC and Intothesunset Thank this. -
and all the tools you'll need...
easy peasy..i say go fo it, start a blog with lots of pics, of you doing the work, and fabricating things, and coming home from the hospital, making sure to take plenty more pics of the blood, guts and gore..!!!!MartinFromBC Thanks this. -
I have a whole wia ugly thing. Runs and drives.
But I want a FLA. Or 362,352.
I can find a cab easy. Or whole truck with bits missing. But than I would need to switch drivetrain or something that would take me years to learn. -
MartinFromBC, mhyn and Intothesunset Thank this.

There are a few set back axle ones like that. But I just can't see me driving that.
There is no cool factor. I'm driving a 2020 Cascadia. And I feel the same way. I never want to own a Cascadia. They can not be cool.MartinFromBC Thanks this. -
How is a custom one going to be any different.
KW k100E setback axles are the best looking in my opinion. If a setback is what your after. -
No I want a set forward cabover. But making from a set back conventional may prove useless.

Ok , sorry had me confused.
That would be even more work as now you would need to move the front axle ahead.
Sounds like a project for someone who has endless amount time and money.Intothesunset Thanks this.
