My great grandfather “Poppy” standing in the one pic, was a farmer and a trapper. Dad told me that poppy told him there was only one good way, to get a polecat out of a foot hold trap...... and salvage the hide without making holes in it. Said poppy told him you gotta charm them. Polecats are curious varmits which gets them in trouble.
