Yup. I picked up this a.m and found it during pretrip. Took it about a mile to get repairs.

Sad. Hopefully they get it fixed today so I can drop my trainee who is graduating and get home for a two days before I go back out with another trainee.

They’re getting it fixed ASAP so I can deliver. I’ve got a trainee to drop off then hometime and they're preloading me for a new student. Yew!! No sleep for me!

PDX to LAX is $163.30 right now for tomorrow early morning.

You could score some Masubi for brunch when the wife picks you up.

I'd be really pissed if I were them. The last guy that had that trailer did that......there's NO WAY you wouldn't notice it

Ya. It had almost zero trailer brakes...even if you missed it in pretrip you’d be like WTF the first time you tried to stop.

I would be casting stink eye at whoever only replaced one slack adjuster and anybody that supposedly serviced or inspected the trailer since then.

Do your trucks and trailers not have to go through mandatory inspections there?

Three steps back and deep breath.......
Your drive tire is just part of trucking, a sad part because of a cheap company... there is no need for a lecture on that.

You have been with them a just short of a year..... How often do you find major Out Of Service stuff like this on the trailer?

Bottom line: I would be making sure driver retention folks know about this. It would be a major point on my always ongoing debate between stay for the next load or find another job.
