I will be heading off to Swift Academy the first Monday of August. I suppose that is where I should have gone originally. If you don’t take a chance though you never know how things will turn out. All my work over the past year has gone toward saving for CDL school, thanks to my hardworking son who has paid all our bills (most any way). If I had gone to Swift instead of Wilson, this current week would have been the latest I would have received my own truck...... the trainers at Wilson felt I would have done better in a longer school and I literally told them I guessed that meant I should have chose Swift over them. Honestly no regrets though. I met some great people there!
Finally decided what to do with myself after disappointment at Wilson

Which location? I redid my application with them earlier this month for their school here in SoCal. The recruiter called and was all "Great, when do you want to start...etc" I still have my DOT medical long form and I'm working on getting my CLP before I go to shave a week off of training I explained. They were cool with that. As well as my wanting to commute from home for the fist week. But my understanding is this location has a 2-4 week backlog of "qualified" applicants. As long as you get a firm start date, it sounds all good.

I had a setback today which I am hoping does not impact my schooling. I’m starting to think living in Oklahoma may just be too difficult for me
