Yes, It sounds great!!
It also pulls better, may have lifted minimum pulling power 50 revs.
But pulls stronger all the way up to 1800 rpm, probably more.
It will make 380kpa of boost on a good morning, up 15 or 20
As soon as the Bully dog tuner turns up I'll bring up the truck and give you a look.
Maybe you can sell a few on the side for a good commission?

I know Cat tends to overbuild for an application but thats almost double.
what are your thoughts?? -
montana cowboy, Cat nip and pullingtrucker Thank this.

mr haney if you have PDI program the ECM can CAT tell if they hook up to it

What would be funny is if you could password the ECM like Cat does. Someone would would spend the night in the ER if I had a custom tuned ECM and they screwed it up when it was in the shop for another issue.

The boxes ###### timing, by lengthening the injector pulse width after the ECM's normal pulse width. PDI's tuning of the ECM lengthening injector pulse width taking the start of injection only from the engine. In the timing tables under full load, the injection pulse width starts earlier to have the center of the injection cycle timed according to the timing tables in the flash file. PDI moves the timing event up to burn the fuel completely, this increases cylinder pressures, but any increase in power does. The boxes injection event is so retarded, because it can only add length to the pulse width at the end of the injection cycle that fuel is left unburnt and high exhaust temps occur along with the potential for scoring a cylinder.
PDI's a lot safer than a PP box when building power. No matter what you do with a diesel engine you can't add the extra fuel without increasing heat and cylinder pressures when building extra horsepower. You just try to do it in a manner that is the safest for engine life. The only other way to add fuel is to increase injector tip sizes, then pulse width doesn't come in play as much. But the flow rates are so high on the 1000 hp injector, I don't know of anybody that's tried them but a truck puller. The other problem is trying to but a set of 6 them, CAT doesn't stock that many in the country at any one time and requires a ser # before shipment.
