Once in a while on the tidewater out of recap having a day or so to knock about I would find myself on the water one way or another. Does not take much when you are being taught how to sail takes your mind clear out of that truck you left parked over yonder. Just mind the boom when you wear ship and sail haul on a far reach. Even if it's a little one. Knock you a migraine for sure.

One thing about that part of Maryland, it's the same as it as then, before then and always the same now and forever.

(More or less.) Here in the south I miss the sea. But that will come along in it's own time in the future as well. Ive been making plans to go east when it's necessary to do it.

That's in Canadian dollars I think. There would be a difference to American. I don't know whats better either way.

They do have a work balance and take off into the hills when they have time. Same as some of our employees in these parts. IF you let them think there isnt work for all of them, they will take a 4 hour lunch hunting or something.

It just gets harder every year for someone new. More vehicles on the road every year than the previous year. Being turned loose in 1979 vs 2019 is night and day difference. The instant communication today puts more stress on someone new than someone experienced who can use that to their advantage. Although companies shouldn’t pressure people, they will and nobody will ever change that. Ever

Honestly OTTO might be the solution if the technology can be more reliable to aid new drivers. Then move them into a conventional vehicle when they have demonstrated the ability

I think instant communication could be helpful as well as nerve wrecking. It allows you to more readily let the company know if you are having an issue with something.

I remember a thread here about a trainer who would sex talk nasty to his woman all night on the phone in the lower bunk and beating his meat while the trainee was trying to sleep in the top bunk. Talk about a person that has no business being a trainer.

Smith system....learn it. While it won't teach you everything you need to know it will help you develop safe driving habits right from the start.
