HA!! I knew it... never, and I mean never!!! go to a rush dealer.

any dealer could work on that for you probably. I use a freightliner or KW dealer because my local pete dealer is a rush shop too

unfortunatly there is some things you have to get from the pete dealer

That's probably the most common, other than GM style systems that use an orifice tube.

A/C is A/C is A/C whether it's your car, a truck, a refrigerator... or the air conditioner in your house. They all work the same basically.

but you won't make that same mistake twice. now you just have to live through all the mistakes the first time (which is why we usually go work for someone else first, to learn that stuff on their dime)

I'm buying a portable air conditioner on wheels with the 4 inch outlet hose. Gone stick it in my closet and drill a hole in the floor for the hose fitting and mount 4 or 5 batteries in the other tool box.

He hauls cheap and heavy paper freight for a subsidiary of Boise, Inc. A lease-on or carrier with required dispatch and a quallcom. I don't blame him for looking around here for something good and finding everyone else is in a similar situation right now.

If not, he's apparently a big fan of them and those that do to name himself after them.

I've thought of that same thing myself. I was going to see how long one of those little 5500 BTU window air conditioners would run off two deep cycle batteries. I'd suspect long enough...

Using two separate inverters... one hooked to the truck's batteries, powering a charger to recharge the deep cycles while the truck is running. And another hooked to the deep cycles to power the air conditioner. This way the two sets of batteries (truck and A/C) are electrically separated.
