You have no recourse with Crete. Neither does anyone else. Unless of course, you have binding agreement or contract with your company. If not, you are a right to work employee. Your comments and thoughts mean little to nothing to employers. Remember, if you don't like your job, quit. There are many more who will gladly take the job. That is why the cycle will continue.

You won't be dispatched out of SLC, but out of Nebraska. Unless I'm mistaken. We did Western Region and dispatch was out of Nebraska. But you can have your home terminal at SLC or Cheyenne or a few others. We went with SLC since it was the closest terminal to WA. I was comfortable at that terminal, but drivers had problems with the FM's there from time to time. Boy, it's been a year since we left Crete for the Bluebirds. Good luck at Crete. They were at one time a good company. Actually loved JC the dispatch and Larry. Miss them! The system was the best of all trucking co's we've driven for.

    Take care.

    Hey Boo,
Did something change? I know that our FM was in SLC but dispatch was in Nebraska. They kept dispatch office seperate from your home terminal FM's.

    Take care.

Just a little FYI, Boobear is the only person I have ever heard badmouth the FM in Cheyenne. I repeat: THE ONLY ONE! So don't pay any attention to what he says.

Doesn't Boobear remind you of Karnajj? Always complaining. At least Karnajj started off as the head cheerleader for Crete ,till he became the chief complainer.

Thanks a million for your valuable info Longbow. You're the man.

FYI, I never paid attention to Karnajj either , except for the entertainment value.

    Sorry for misleading; I mis-spoke....

You are right; all dispatch was out of Lincoln. FM's were out in the individual terminals.

MOST of dipatch was pretty easy go get along with. :biggrin_25519:

I really liked the multiple load offerings, when you could get them.

So, how do ya'll like being dispatched by the same terminal? Id imagine theres less confusion when the load isnt handled by multiple hands like when I was there. When I was with Crete, I believe it was a regional dispatching system they had.
Oh yeah, multiple load offers were great!

OK, unless they changed, all dispatch was out of Lincoln; but your individual dispatcher changed every time you emptied out unless the load was VERY short. Each dispatcher was assigned an "area" (usually a state or a couple of states). If you emptied out in a certain area, then that areas dispatcher would get you your next load.

FM were still at the terminals.

The "rotating" dispatcher thingy, just like multiple load offerings, was GREAT; you could never got "caught" (on a permanent basis), with a dispatcher that was incompetent or just a plain dirtbag. All companies should use that dispatch model.

From what I have seen in the Acklie Shops, the main reason these trucks are spending so much time on the lift is because Crete's mechanics are creating more problems with their equipment than before they went into the shop. More times than less, whenever I take my truck into the shop for what is supposed to be a simple A/B service it comes out of the shop with problems. Goes into the shop working great... comes out of the shop with something going wrong due to something that one of Crete's mechanics did to it. So, getting into another brand of trucks isn't going to change anything unless they can start investing in an education plan for their "technicians"... a term I am using loosely here!
