Smokin' Stevie,
Coffee sounds good. Since I retired from Transam, I spent 3 months looking for something else and finally found a job running a local potato chip route in my own box truck. I make approx 3 times what I did driving for Transam and sleep at home every night and have weekends off. I still work about 70 + hours a week, but feel lucky to have found this job in today's economy. There is a possibility that this company will be adding another route driver pretty soon for a route north of Atlanta that stretches from Dunwoody to Dawsonville. You can send me a private message with an email address and I will contact you off the sight to arrange a meeting for coffee and possibly talk about the route if you are interested.
It seems like most of the jobs and other opportunities that I have found recently all have a bit of scam to them. I do not know how so many employers can stay in business with all of the ######## they heap on the people that deal with their customers. When I ran my own businesses, I tried to be fair with my employees and customers and make the whole experience pleasant for everyone. This is not to say that I did not do what needed to be done, but I did not add extra crap for the sake of a marginal added profit or imagined gain as so many companies do now. However, they are still in business (at least until the government takes them over) and I am not so, maybe it is necessary in todays economy to shift some of the operating costs of business to others and screw everyone you can to make a profit. -
Little Princess here!
Are you stating that Transam is operating a corporate creator level pyramid scheme??, in which the peak of the pyramid is the Transam corporation? head of ownership or office??, irreguardless of how the scheme is set up??.
I ask...because there are laws governing lease agreements, the amounts that can be charged for all expenses, mismanagement of such agreements, including representation of the cases of other companies (which require a liscensed investigative officer to take the abuse as well as commit the abuse with full knowledge of all individuals (innocent of clause),involved under Federal Observation including active presidential observation of said abuse to enforce those laws) (although alot of what you posted reads like excerpts from CR England's case, along with the one whose evidense against FFE''s parent company,(whose evidense had yet to make it past the word of mouth and paperwork phase)) lease agreements Lawsuits)) ect.
This might not make alot of sence, for that We Apologize for lack of wording to make it "Make Sense". While Attempting to Make Sense of
What Just Came Across As Sensless...
Little Princess Out!
What?
You are going to have to 'splain this post. I am sure that Transam is operating their lease driver screwing business within the letter of the law. They got enough lawyers and accountants to make sure they get every penny they can without leaving any legally actionable peccadilloes hanging loose. -
Old Guy,
Cn't tell you how tickled I am that you've found a job that you seem to like and are making money. I'm still with TA and moving on down the road. Seems that I am treated a little better as a company driver than you were. I like what I'm doing and as much as TA can tick me off at times, they still seem to be a step up from their competition. Wishing you good luck in what your doing. -

Good luck with that. I hope Transam continues to treat you better than they did me. Delivering potato chips is better than having a root canal, but not much. It just pays better than OTR and has better hours. -
Old Guy,
Since we can't give phone numbers or e-mail address to each other lets try this. You can reach me if you decode this p0m-gag-twd1 -

Due to lack of miles/pay I turned in my truck 2 weeks ago. Everywhere I've looked you have to have at least a year experience. Even the other companies aren't interested cause I'm not fresh out of CDL school and they won't get that "Goverment Money" for training me. Please help with where a guy with only 4 months OTR can get a job? A couple have been impressed with 27 states and 30,000 miles however you don't have a year OTR can't help you go get another 8 months and come see me. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Stevie
