I don't think his comment had anything to do with OTR drivers as it did the companies with little regard to who they hire. Besides, I took it as him talking about the freight side and not the truckload guys. Relax!
-
His comment was specifically in reference to freight LTL is now pulling that truckload carriers were pulling.
I wouldn't have said anything if he hadn't already established his issues with CWTL. We used to not be able to perform the job and now we can't speak english and smell like poo-

I stand corrected.. I apparently did not see that post. Thanks Aspiring

I make no apologies for anything I said. What you quoted reflects the view of the majority of Freight drivers on the East Coast.
The thing about broken English and a poor choice of words, "smells like poo" is directed at the carriers used by the third party logistics for the bigger LTL shipments - not CWTL. The third party logistics providers use TLB to move shipments. The majority of those we lost at my customers as a P&D driver were bound for Mexico via Laredo for whatever reason. You wanna talk about the worst of the worst - I have no clue how some of these clowns make their way across the country.
I drove OTR for a little less than two years and did develop some contempt for the industry as a whole - especially the other drivers, to me, that was the worst part. I would say CWTL has some of the better drivers of any OTR outfit I see on the road though. I wish you guys luck but make no apologies for anything I've said. -
You seem to be very prideful, so I didn't expect an apology, but thanks for making it clear twice that that's not what you were doing. If you drove OTR for two years and most of your contempt was directed towards the drivers and not the carriers then I think your feelings are a bit misdirected. I have found the A-hole ratio among OTR drivers to be slightly lower than the general population. I personally have developed a lot of empathy for other drivers in my time on the road.
I suppose we will have to agree to disagree. I do think you are an asset to this board and appreciate the information on Conway that you've shared.
