Now, now.... don't be a "complainer", RRW. Someone may get offended!:biggrin_25519:

However, the one thing I noticed with Acklie mech's is that they spend more time hanging around the snap-on-tools salesmen's trucks than they do working on trucks. It's like bees around a pot of honey!!!

I took the last "crappy old Pete" (another posters words, not mine) into the KC shop for an A service, they couldn't get the hood up for 8 full hours. Finally had to take it over to the dealer to get the hood un-stuck!!

That would be like me jumping behind the wheel and not knowing how to put it in gear!!!:biggrin_25519:

    Like Karnajj.

He's one of those who is happiest when he has something to complain about. By the way BooBear, there was a good deal of sarcasm in my post, not aimed at you, but at someone else.

Now on to Acklie Maintenance. I generally don't have a problem with them ,except for the length of time it takes at some terminals to get things done, like Marietta & Wilmer. I give them the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to them usually having a larger number of trucks to work on.

As to having a truck leave the shop with a problem ,as another poster said, I recently had service done to my tractor. Normally I would turn the key & truck would start immediately. Went to take truck out of shop after servicing & engine turned over for a good 5 or so seconds before starting.
Was like that for a few times but eventually got back to starting normally.

Thank you. Sorry I missed the sarcasm.

I've made plenty of positive comments about Crete; I'll make one now. Of the four I worked for Crete was the best.

Still, I stick by my negative (complaining???) statements. Both SLC and Cheyenne treated me like *hit. Those are facts, calling me names won't change that.

I've heard other drivers make the same comments. When I went thru orientation (second time), Noel Stanley did a sort of "roll his eyes" type thingy when I mentioned I'd heard a good comment or two about RB and was gonna be on her board. Shoulda took it more serious I guess.

I have a history of completely ignoring those that attack me personally. I've even been known to block their messages so they can't "suck me into" a *issing contest. Been there, done that, don't need it.

Once again, thank you and have a fine day.

..you mean they couldn't even make a simple fon call to the dealer & ask them "hey, how do u get a stuck hood open??", you had to drive the truck over there?! :biggrin_25526:

To whomever complained to Bret in recruiting/training about my posts on this thread: Thanks a lot. If you read my posts, you would plainly see I made no disparaging remarks about Crete. I did legitimately question why my starting pay-rate had been reduced twice. Bret said "A driver was concerned about my posts" and brought it to recruiting's attention. Nice one.

My question is, was it really a complaint, or did the person who contacted recruiting merely bring up your post to get legitamate answers to your questions?

Either way, recruiting should not be thin-skinned when it comes to any legitamate question.

The way Bret worded it sounded like he was questioning my loyalty/worthiness to be hired on, so I don't think it was an innocent inquiry by this person. Recruiting had to do some digging to find out who I am, because JChors is my handle only and Pine Mtn. is the mountain I live on, not the town considered by the USPS as part of my home address.

Just be very careful what you say here (even if it's legitimate) because there's a tattler among us. I don't know who would be so low as to hurt a guy's chance at earning a living.

Isn't there an old saying about not putting anything in writing that you don't want the world to see... and misinterpret??? You never know who's reading these posts and how they'll be taken. :biggrin_25525:
