He was ( key word WAS ) doing very well at the time. In part because of the things that he was learning from some others who also probably attended the same seminars.
He never complained but I was horrified at the primary lesson from some of the instructors. Not just from the T.U. but from lots of book writers and " financial gurus " , who were preaching the " managing the cash flow " jive. The downfall of the message they were promoting is that you don't keep enough in reserve to survive a lean period.

That's the group that has since been singled out as the primary source of the recession.
