A pal of my wife's family runs that out of Grand Island, NY. Will hit her up for more details, as I can, but yes.. home every other day; option to take hourly over cpm.

I'm beat... will find out more as I can. Pretty decent company, imho.

Ya I heard it was hourly. $20 an hour. Not the best however if you are starting right out of school, not too bad, especially if you max out your 70.

Her pal is CLEARING 1100 a week, if that helps; will help more as I can. IMHO ... in NY and the hometime, I'd do it as a newbie (which he is... fresh.)

    #### that’s awesome. Beats OTR IMO.

Yessir. Similar to my 'sweet' daycab intrastate Mack Pinnacle twin screw job here in Ohio, and I've got 20 plus years behind me. Yours? Decent bucks, hometime, H.O.W. would be on my short list if I went back out there.

I’m still in driving school. I would like to find a local position or the short haul that Wolding offers. Not interested in OTR. There’s quiet a few local jobs hiring right out of school. Around here at least.

Preferably like to get into the company my dad worked at for 20 years. Unloading crates of milk to different stores and school districts, etc. great pay and benefits. Union environment.

I’ve never believed the adage that you need OTR experience to get local gigs. Might have to stick it out at a local place that doesn’t pay well for a year but then move on ya know.

True, I've been at this almost 20 years and never drive otr. Only otr companies want otr experience.

If you ran me out 70 hours work week on the logbook in the clipboard and paid me 20 a hour I probably can go back to knocking about the NE any old time. But it will have to be a sleeper truck. You cannot count on getting home in particular times with the ELD today versus the evolving horrorshow of traffic up there.
