If someone needs 10 hours of sleep. Maybe they need to find a job local driving or at McDonalds. Hell there were times when 8 hours was to much. They call us Super Truckers, which makes me laugh. If this is the case than i guess these newbie drivers are "Super #######"

It’s a 10 hour break, not 10 hours of solid sleep.

Do local drivers sleep 10 hours?

I do not know of any driver that sleeps 10 hours. Sitting around makes one more tired. 2-5 hours of sleep per night is plenty. 10 hour breaks are a waste of time.

The 10 drive/8 off is cool for OTR. It would ding my metro delivery gig a bit but that would be a small price to pay for no 14 hour clock and no stupid 30 minute nonsense.
