What kind of questions did they ask you?

 

#### dude. It sucks and is really disheartening. Keep in mind though it took me 2 times to get into Dot. I bombed the first time lol.

 

They asked behavioral based questions, such as "tell me about a time..."
Most related to safety, when I went above and beyond to get a job done, conflicts and how I dealt with them, and questions of the like. Wasn't the hardest and I was easily able to answer all their questions given my diverse background. I think they just had an idea of who or what, specifically, they wanted considering their not hiring out of Ardmore and the terminal near my house in D/FW any longer.

I'm deflated but not disheartened by not being selected. My other opportunity i'm taking pertains to the development and implementation of autonomous trucks. Currently, they select the best drivers by having them drive for a time, then move them towards the autonomous division (that's the vision anyways). Long term I think it will be a better fit, having spent time as a Class A instructor combined with my graduate degree. Talking to the Senior VP of Transportation at GATS he stated he could use those skills as the company develops to train new teleop drivers. But, if it goes belly up I'll probably try and re-apply to Dot.

I was just wondering how you was able to gross 26k in those 2 months. I have also been thinking about dot foods that's why I'm asking thanks

 

That would have to be breaking down an ungodly amount of freight. You could probably compete in the olympics after lol.

 

Definitely sounds like a good company to work for
