Instant O/O and Load boards

I have 15k in there for maintenance and repairs. I suppose anything left would be towards replacement.

But these CPM calculators are mostly about theory. It doesn't seem to work that way at all. The truck breaks down or needs something and you pay it, or you don't have it and you're screwed.

Maybe if the truck would leave you alone for say, a full year, then you might have something to show for it.

 

Here's another way to look at it. As I said, I have 15k YEARLY figured into my CPM calculator.

I've driven 38,088 miles empty and loaded. At 11 cpm that's $4190 "set aside" for maintenance/repairs/tires. As I pointed out several pages back, I had already spent $5,478. And I'm counting the miles since then too and still have things I need done.

 

You know i was just saying the other day on the phone to someone, the amount I've spent on that in 3 months by ITSELF would support an entire household for the duration. I think most people could live off 2k a month for base home expenses.

And just think, I'm not their only customer!

There really is a lot of money in trucking. A lot of REVENUE that is. All the money in trucking is set aside for all the complimentary industries surrounding trucking. Just set up on a trucker route and hold your hand out. Something's gonna fall into it.
