$36 an hour. 7-3:30 Monday through Friday. Overtime if I want it.

Unfortunately this applies to all jobs. Even college grads think they need to be CEO just because they have a degree. Nobody wants to work their way up.

all the while, living in mom/dads basement, playing video games....

when my kids graduated from thier various schools, they were of "legal age" and did not come back to the house.

they had to have thier own places to live, after graduation, the wife and i paid at least the security deposits and first months rents for all, then that was it..get a job or die, you ain't coming back home, and the kids KNEW i meant business.

i mean after all, paying for college or technical schools wasn't cheap, how much more would they want??

we didn't "let them" even try to weasel back into the home.

each one started at the bottom, and all are doing well, and some have kids of thier own now too.

i think the family responsibility sucks in most families, allowing for such "CEO dreams"...

Well, I make .50 per mile but I have years of experience and I'm doing regional.

I'm interested in finding a local gig if I can.

    x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

    I make .56/mile

With stop pay, layover pay.. this week I made .83/mile on 2550 miles

Next week will be more miles and less stops.
If I had to guess, it'll prob avg out around .75/mile
But, I won't physically work as hard.

    x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Yes, please tell everyone where you work, so your company can be bothered by 50 bajillion calls a day asking why they don't pay top dollar for someone with no experience in any season, let alone winter.

Or if they'll make an exception cause you know.."It's just a misunderstanding at my last job. They said don't hit (insert object here) an I thought they said DO hit it...so can I get a job?" Those kind of folks.

I'm sure your company would love to know who it was that sent everyone to them. I wouldn't expect a raise and a pat on the back though.

    ;)

Don't live beyond your means. A good rule to live by for anyone.

Sirscrapntruckalot - So the secret to success is hard work you say? No wonder so many people plead poverty. - no clue but it sounded good.
