You screwed yourself, hired onto a #### company and are now on the hook for it. Suck it up, and run as hard as you can and ask for more every chance you get. Tell them every day if you have to, that you're not afraid to run some longer miles and stay out as long as needed.
Being you're only a few months in, they're not going to trust you on the higher paying better freight yet. Or maybe they dont even have any of that, I don't know.
But running off to another company with only 3 or 4 mo's of driving isnt gonna get you in with any better of a company.FlaSwampRat, not4hire and Horus Thank this. -
Just passing by Thanks this.

PM @otterinthewater he works for WE and can answer your questions.
At the end of the day, it was a business deal. They made some promises to you that they havent stood behind it seems and they arent paying you well because they think they have you trapped with that contract. Maybe walking away and settling the debt is a better option. Without knowing or reading the contract no one but you and them knows what kind of leverage they have.Horus and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
You don't want to ignore the IRS. -
I know Western Express reputation, but I'd probably gamble and give it a try.
That doesn't mean I'm right, it just means, personally, I'd try it.Horus Thanks this. -
60 posts and I think the focus is not on the issue.
I asked a legit question, how much does the op expect to make?
I asked this because it goes to the ability to pay off the "debt" or get out of the contract.
You guys are looking at this as if the contract has to be bought out but not one of you have the contract in hand as I don't, we are assuming too much.
Sure he can get a lawyer, a lawyer (best is an ambulance chaser) will see where I'm going with this - that is if there isn't a sufficient amount of revenue produced from his work, then the contract can't be fulfilled and the driver may have an out by claiming that the carrier is not giving him the work to pay it off. But then I aphave to go back to we don't have a copy of the contract to see what it actually says.x1Heavy, p608, FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this. -
x1Heavy Thanks this.

I didn't read through this whole thing but, If the company is getting any government money (which most likely they are along with salary subsides) a decent lawyer should be able to nix the whole thing.
Horus Thanks this.
