Haha! The thing about weird is that its like most human attributes: it can manifest as either positive or negative in a given situation.

One of the greatest compliments I have ever received was when a co-worker finally said to me "You are weird, you know that?" I was honored that he noticed. Most people don't pay enough attention to detect it. (or reject it outright).

Also, as a native Arkansan, it does seem that we have a higher than average proportion of strange people, thankfully!

Okay yeah that's a matter of options.

Regarding people laughing, I'm so far beyond all that stupidity. It's all about business and comfort.

l let the "cool kids" enjoy their pretty hoods while I laugh about their lack of business sense ,such that "cool" takes priority for them above everything lol.

I have a co-worker that traded in his paid off Freightliner for a peterbilt. I'm waiting for him to start complaining about how much the new truck breaks down as much as the old one

If it's a hood he'll first be complaining at the money he's pissssing away in fuel... If he even pays attention.
Hopefully he had enough sense to buy their 579 with a X-15e.
If it's built like my 2019 389L was it'll be a shop queen for sure !! I hope not !!

We all average 3-5.5 mpg due to having to idle to load and weight

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

    Knowingly wasting
money for a cool look is poor business sense.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't have fun but that fun is very wasteful.
If a pink truck got 15 mpg I wouldn't care if it looked stupid, the bottom line is what pays the bills, cool factor doesn't.

That's a huge $$$ span in horrible fuel mileage all by itself.

I'm certainly nowhere near those horrific numbers , so "we all" doesn't apply to be whatsoever.

No they're not idiots, just wasting lots of money for a "Look".
That alone isn't business savvy at all, call it what you may. It's all about priorities.

I'll continue driving my old w9 that gets 6.5 at 70 mph, at 90k pounds, you keep trying to tell me how buying a new 140k dollar truck every few years that's worth half or less in 4 years is a good buisness decision.

What, you don't want to run down and spend all your bucks on something intended to be thrown away by the time it should have been payed for. lol

Bring that oooogly volvo up here and follow me around, I will bet I get as good or better mileage out of my cool (I guess hood), while dragging that curb sniffer up the bigger hills. lol
