    They're both good.
Some companies may prefer Sage, but either will be good for a job.

Nothing is a "Lock". You already are putting yourself behind the eight ball if you think anything is a "lock" here.

And trucking schools teach to a bare minimum of passing a CDL driving test.

You will at some point after that is done realize the enormity of what you have not been taught yet.

I've never yet been wronged by any advice x1Heavy dishes out.

I believe a trucking companies school wants you on the road... making money for them. They will do whatever they need to do to pass you. You can't blame them. They invested in you and have an expectation of a return on that investment. I'm sure schools too get benefits to putting out graduates.. Churn out a steady stream of folks from "X" college... looks good on a banner at an industry show.

My take is this... Study... A lot.... Know the academics so you can tell your instructor.. " I know how to take the test... teach me to drive like a pro". You hate backing? Tell the instructor to spend the day "backing" trailers... you don't like traffic... tell him you want to go downtown....

Run to the stuff that is the hardest.... Because if you always take the easy route, you WILL as heavy says..."Realize the enormity of what you haven't been taught"
