I've heard this before on this board. I sort of believed it, just because NYC is that way from what I know. Then the other day a driver told me a story about the time a cop in NYC told him to run over an illegally parked car so he could make a turn.

I don't go to NYC. Once was enough.

I also heard from a friend of a friend who knew a guy that was friends with Donald Trump who told him to run over any illegally parked car in NYC.

They're schoolyard tales. And NYC isn't anything worse than anywhere else. Just gotta have some common sense and a sense of adventure.

That car was parked kinda funky there, but my question to the driver is why he didnt go online and access the New York City truck route map? New York City is a tough place to operate a commercial vehicle, I will admit that. One has to pay lots of attention here

I used to deliver to a place in Queens, well Maspeth, that you backed into an enclosed dock off of a small street. Had a fire hydrant directly across the street from the door to the dock. Had been hit so many times that they just capped it off and the hydrant itself was just laying there. lol

I'd like to know what he was doing up in that area with a truck? Not like it's a warehouse district or anything.

Yes, but sadly common sense isnt so common in this industry.
