Geez... you guys...
What the hell would you all say if you had to drive a truck with a bench seat??Tall Mike, brian991219, jamespmack and 7 others Thank this. -
20 yrs from now you're going to wish you had driven w all aspects of the seat properly adjusted instead of on the floor locked in place imho.
jamespmack, buddyd157 and Oxbow Thank this. -
I'm 6'5. Riding on the floor is the most comfortable for me. At least in this 389. My 387 I rode with just enough air to keep me.from.feeling the cab sway.
Tall Mike, peterbilt_2005, 7-UP and 4 others Thank this. -

Almost 20 years for me and I still drive on the ground. Us tall people get thrown in to the roof really easy.
And I drove a truck that had a bench seat. Pickup truck. -
Whatever is comfortable to you is how you're going to roll.
I remember before we even had air ride, scissor spring type ride w vinyl..miserable.
Almost akin to hearing loss, where once it's gone it doesn't come back, back problems appear after years nee decades of posture issues/abuse.
It may work for you now and maybe all thru your career but the same reason developers and manufacturers have such complex air seating nowadays is because of crippling back problems suffered by drivers past.
I think a seat properly adjusted offers the action and support to minimize the risk of damage for the long haul..pun intended.
I'd bet money a ergonomic "expert" or chiropractor would recommend the same.
That said we have many drivers doing the low rider thing looking cool on the stool.jamespmack Thanks this. -
Truth be known, I change the seat position throughout the day. Sometimes I’m a pimp Gangsta sometimes I’m a geek with driving gloves and and aired up seat. Same guy. Imagine thatLast edited: Sep 17, 2019
Tall Mike, wore out, peterbilt_2005 and 11 others Thank this. -
My wallet causes me more back pain (and numbness in my feet) than no air does. The wife thought air would be comfy at first, too. That lasted a week. Now she's got her seat fully deflated, too.
