That's true. The early colonists in New England didn't like to have to eat lobster often because it was perceived as " cheap food ". It's not common lots of places and that is why it's become " fine dining ". Supply and demand. Of course it used to be expensive to ship fresh lobster because of the cooling and heating requirements and keeping them in water, which is why the price went up. Plastic bags would be worth a fortune back in the 1800's because it would be so rare.

Between the local stuff I've been doing and the shop work I've got lined up I don't see me going back to Midland for at least four to six months. I'm not sure if I should go gather up my little car and bring it home or sell it.

Kinda wish I knew it was gonna go this way before I left last time...

Not here apparently....my wife hangs her outgoing work mail on the outside of the box so it is clearly visible and they pull up out front and stop....if she doesn't have incoming mail they drive across the parking lot to the other business. She has called so many times it isn't funny, everytime they say it's cost prohibitive to turn them around and just drop it in a letter box somewhere.

We used to have that down at the office...you could have all kinds of stuff going out but if they didn't have anything to deliver that day it was 'see you tomorrow...maybe'.

Made it ti just into NM on 54 - bouncing home 1800 miles til the cust9mer figures out what we are doing as they pulled all runs for the current project. Cost me a sit ton of money, so to say I am a little cranky but be an understatement....be home Friday by lunch time.
