Couple questions from a newbie in south Florida

^^^ O/P, he's our resident guru, on all things trucking/schooling/employment, btw. I know nothing about Florida trucking; sorry.

 

There's also @FlaSwampRat who delivers for Coca Cola (I think?) in Florida. He may be along to help shortly, also.

I know J.R. Schugel hauls out of Floriday(a buddy of ours on here used to haul for them, you could look up his posts.. W.R. Futch or something...he went to Pinellas Career Tech Center I think; it's been awhile.) Just not a lot of freight out of Florida, but you could check with Schugel.

Also you will find that in trucking you can live anywhere you like as long your CDL and so on is tied to the states residence somewhere in some nice state out away from Florida.

One year we were up in Indiana As a company yard etc. And all I did was chain and cable from Jaxville FLA to Houston Texas, reloaded pipe straight east. 3 inchers. Easy strap. A tiny amount of chain because we had very good dunnage etc.

We ran that for almost 6 months back home in the spring of the followig back and forth and back and forth Dispatch calls were 2 minutes. Unit Number Empty a few hours later unit number loaded for FLA, im gone. Bye.

A couple of days later the process of opposite trip. No stress essentially. Just alot of rain and learning how to eat cajun food. Some of which was pretty good. found the spouse liked certain others. We got into more of that later on when she rolled with me then.

The money took care of itself. Almost automatic, ##### KA-CHIUNG! (Now the censoring. that's interesting. Wonder which letter I subsitute for next.)
