i have my own DAT tied to his MC with his consent. And yeah we already had a current packet with that broker so they just send ratecon to office email and i call office lady sayin hook it up. If its a really good load and the broker collectors all say go for it, i have her do carrier packets and slip her a few $$ for the grief. Gotta grease the wheels.

 

If you see a International with a load of hay pull in tomorrow morning, give me a holler. Should be there around 830 or so after I get loaded.

 

Yesterday I went to an "Open House" at a new facility that Old Dominion built in the area. I delivered all of the pipeline materials for it when they broke ground. Got a tasty free lunch and grabbed a hat to add to my collection.

This morning one of the drivers for another LTL company came in to drop off some stuff. We usually B.S a little bit when he comes in. He sees my hat and says "God ######, I need to get you a hat. Can't have you wearing one from the competition".

Made me feel like I need to get a hat for every LTL company that delivers to us. Rotate through them whenever a competitor comes in.

Peninsula? Wear the Old Dominion.

Old Dominion? Wear the Peninsula.

So on, so forth. Have to make life a game and have fun, y'know?
