Called Usxpress rider and pet department a few min.ago , drivers are allowed 1 dog ( no breed or weight restriction now) or 1 cat on truck. There is a $ 500.00 non-refundable pet deposit and $10.00 a week pet fee.

what happens to the accumulated "pet fee", if you leave?

as it is, you're losing the deposit, which is horse pucky. they should at the very least, deduct cleaning from that, and return the rest.

so if you take along one of these..

Shep the Stuffed German Shepherd | Aurora | Stuffed Safari

is there still a weekly "pet fee"?

the $10 weekly fee us to cover the fuel for idling. And the $500 doesn't even come close to cover the cleaning. I've seen trucks with well over $3,000 in damage

oh believe me, at one company i had worked for and now long gone, since US Express bought them out, i had seen trucks in the "back row" of the shop, needing all new interiors...
see above response, also, at that same company, i had to constantly sweep out animal fur, (cat or dog, i dunno) , it was everywhere, and what made things really bad for me, is my allergies. a LOT of that fur was sucked up and into the bunk heater core/evap.....hardly ANY air flow.

there were NO vacuums available at the shop, i was ticked off to no end, that it was NOT cleaned before they gave it to me.

    Wow!! I appreciate your post.
Im experiencing “late onset animal allergies” and will darn sure ASK for a pet-free truck from next employer.

CLEAN is subjective...hardly anyone else’s definition matches mine lol.

Some drivers think they are Doc Dolittle and have a zoo in their truck. That sure does ruin it for the rest of us.
